The Australian stretch of the Ladies European Tour marked another important step in Sára Kousková’s 2026 season. Across three tournaments, she made two cuts, produced several standout rounds, and gathered valuable feedback she can build on in the weeks ahead.
The first stop was the Ford Women’s NSW Open in Wollongong, where Sára continued her solid start to the season and finished in 51st place. The highlight of her week came in the second round, when she delivered an outstanding 64 (-7) without a single bogey. Performances like that confirmed both the quality already present in her game and the level she is capable of reaching. The week in Wollongong also brought demanding conditions, including changing weather and an intense schedule that forced players to complete 36 holes in a single day. That made it an especially valuable test of resilience, focus and consistency.
At the second event of the Australian swing, the Australian Women’s Classic at Magenta Shores, Sára produced her best overall result of the trip. She finished in 22nd place and made an immediate impact with a brilliant opening round of 64 (-8), which set a new course record. Over the course of the tournament, she once again showed that when the different parts of her game come together, she can be highly competitive even in a strong international field. The final round was heavily affected by strong wind and rain, but she still left Magenta with a positive feeling about the work done during the week with her team. It was another clear sign that the foundation of her game is strong, and that the next step lies in greater week-to-week consistency and cutting out avoidable mistakes.
The final event of the Australian swing was the prestigious Australian Open in Adelaide, where Sára narrowly missed out on the weekend rounds. After rounds of 76 and 76, she finished below the cut line, with her putting holding her back in the opening round and her body not feeling at its best on day two. Even so, the tournament still fit into the broader picture of the trip: another important experience in a strong field and more information to take forward into the key stages of the season.
The Australian swing was not only about results, but also about clear signs of what Sára can build on. Over the three tournaments, she showed that she is capable of producing truly exceptional golf, whether it was the bogey-free -7 in Wollongong or the record-setting -8 in Magenta Shores. Those rounds confirmed both her potential and her ability to compete at a high level on the Ladies European Tour. At the same time, the trip also highlighted where there is still room to grow — particularly in maintaining that level over four full rounds.
The overall performance of the Czech Pro Golf Team was another major positive. The team once again showed both its strength and the value of working closely together. Each event brought a strong Czech result — Patricie Macková finished eighth in Wollongong, while Jana Melichová secured an excellent share of seventh place in Adelaide. The team’s real strength, however, lies not only in individual performances, but also in the mutual support, shared experience and energy the players bring to each other during demanding tournament weeks.
For Sára Kousková and the team as a whole, the Australian swing delivered an important package of experience, encouragement and confirmation that their direction is the right one. The season is still only getting started, but it is already clear that there is plenty to build on in the tournaments ahead.

Australská série přinesla Sáře Kouskové silné momenty, cenné zkušenosti i další motivaci do sezony
Australská část sezony Ladies European Tour znamenala pro Sáru Kouskovou další důležitý krok v letošním ročníku. Během tří turnajů na australských hřištích prošla dvěma cuty, zaznamenala několik velmi silných kol a zároveň získala cennou zpětnou vazbu, na které může v dalších týdnech stavět.
První zastávkou bylo Ford Women’s NSW Open ve Wollongongu, kde Sára navázala na solidní vstup do sezony a obsadila 51. místo. Nejsilnějším momentem celého týdne bylo její výjimečné druhé kolo za 64 ran (-7), které odehrála bez jediného bogey. Právě taková kola podle ní potvrzují, že hra má velmi vysokou úroveň a že dobré věci v ní jsou. Turnaj ve Wollongongu zároveň nabídl velmi náročné podmínky včetně proměnlivého počasí a extrémního programu, kdy hráčky musely zvládnout i 36 jamek během jediného dne. I proto byl pro Sáru cenným testem odolnosti, soustředění i stability výkonu.
Na druhém turnaji australské série, Australian Women’s Classic v Magenta Shores, přišel z pohledu výsledku zatím nejlepší Sáry výkon. Turnaj zakončila na 22. místě a hned v úvodu týdne zaujala fantastickým kolem za 64 ran (-8), které znamenalo rekord hřiště. V průběhu turnaje znovu ukázala, že když se jí daří spojit jednotlivé části hry, může být velmi nebezpečná i v silné mezinárodní konkurenci. Finálové kolo výrazně ovlivnil silný vítr a déšť, přesto si z Magenty odvezla pozitivní pocit z práce, kterou se svým týmem během týdne odvedla. Právě tam se naplno ukázalo, že herní základ je velmi dobrý a že klíčem do dalších turnajů bude ještě větší stabilita a omezení zbytečných chyb.
Závěr australské série obstaral prestižní Australian Open v Adelaide, kde se Sáře tentokrát nepodařilo projít do víkendových kol. Po kolech 76 a 76 zůstala pod čarou cutu, když ji v prvním kole zbrzdila především hra na greenech a ve druhém dni také horší fyzický pocit. I tak ale i tento turnaj zapadl do širšího obrazu celé australské cesty — tedy jako další důležitá zkušenost v silné konkurenci a další materiál pro práci směrem k vrcholům sezony.
Celá australská série totiž nepřinesla jen výsledky, ale i velmi jasné momenty, od kterých se dá odrazit. Sára během tří turnajů ukázala, že je schopná zahrát mimořádně kvalitní kola, ať už šlo o bezchybných -7 ve Wollongongu, nebo rekordní -8 v Magentě. Právě tyto výkony potvrzují její potenciál i připravenost držet krok s vysokou úrovní Ladies European Tour. Vedle toho zároveň australské turnaje ukázaly, kde je ještě prostor pro další posun — zejména ve větší stabilitě napříč celým turnajem.
Pozitivně lze hodnotit i celé vystoupení Czech Pro Golf Teamu, který v Austrálii znovu potvrdil svou sílu i přínos společné práce. Každý z turnajů přinesl výrazný český moment — ve Wollongongu zazářila Patricie Macková skvělým osmým místem, v Adelaide pak vybojovala Jana Melichová výborné dělené sedmé místo. Tým tak znovu ukázal, že jeho největší síla nespočívá jen v individuálních výsledcích, ale i ve vzájemné podpoře, sdílení zkušeností a společné energii během náročných turnajových týdnů.
Australská část sezony tak pro Sáru Kouskovou i celý tým znamenala cenný balík zkušeností, povzbudivých momentů a potvrzení, že nastavená cesta má směr i kvalitu. Sezona je teprve na začátku, ale už teď je zřejmé, že na jejích dalších turnajích bude na co navazovat.
